One More Bandit
Ilya woke Wulfgar, who then work Reppa. Pyotr had lost track of the movement, but Reppa noticed a humanoid figure hiding in the darkness. It appeared to bump into a tree and Pyotr found it. It looked like another bandit.
Reppa awakened Stormbolt. He passed gas. Pyotr used that as an excuse to move closer. Ambiorix moved in another direction. The bandit ran off into the darkness. Pyotr called for Ilya and pursued. Reppa and Wulfgar followed them.
The bandit tripped and Wulfgar caught up to him. Ilya was close as well. Pyotr and Ilya followed. Ambiorix cast Light and followed. Froing and Stormbolt kept watch for the rest of the attack.
Wulfgar bit the bandit. Ilya bit as well. The humans got closer.
Wulfgar and Ilya batted the unresponsive bandit. The humans caught up and called off their animals off. Reppa determined that the bandit was not dead and attempted to bandage him. Ambiorix cast Cure Light Wounds and revived the bandit.
The bandit tried to stand to run off. Ambiorix swung at him. Pyotr knocked him back down. Ambiorix covered him ineffectually. The bandit stayed down.
Ambiorix asked why he was out alone in the woods at night. The bandit said he was a hunter, not a bandit. Reppa asked him where The Sycamore Tree was. He offered to take them there. They tied him up and brought him back toward camp.
Half way back to camp, the bandit appeared to loose his bonds and ran off. Reppa slapped him with her sword, but did not dissuade him. Ilya clawed him and knocked him down. Then they dragged him back to camp unconscious and tied him to a log.
On the third watch, the bandit woke up and was surprised to find Stormbolt guarding him. The bandit told him to follow the river south to an old bridge and then east for a day. He said that the Stag Lord was dangerous as well as drunk. He did not know much about the fortress. He had only been there once. The bandit told Stormbolt that there were two more bandits out hunting. Stormbolt knocked him out.
In the morning they broke camp and followed the directions that the bandit told Stormbolt. They tied the bandit to the pack horse. Froing attempted to determine the bandits motives. He thought the bandit had good intentions. They loaded all of the recovered loot onto their horses.
In Search of The Sycamore Tree
They followed the river along the eastern shore, led by the captured bandit. They travelled the whole day and arrived at the bridge as the sun was setting. Ambiorix did not think the bridge was structurally sound. They made camp on a hill overlooking the bridge.
The night passed uneventfully. They travelled another full day before they spied the great tree in the distance. They made camp for the night.
