At the Hospital
While the team rested at the hospital, Sturm updated Soto-sama (mostly).
The death being returned to the hospital with them.
Soto-sama said that she was more interested in getting the families of her legionnaires off of Fierce to someplace relatively safe and worrying about the long term consequences later. Mena suggested sending them through the Door in Morholt’s domain to the pre-Egyptian domain Uther had established. Soto-sama said that she would lead them herself and started the reverse Exodus. Uther showed them the way.
Cyra felt the encroachment of a number of cyber-naki presences in a larger concentration than previously encountered. She brought the Jaeger to the hospital. Jane summoned the dragon to her.
The cyber-naki approached the perimeter of the hospital area, but did not approach. Cyra created some sensory spells to do a reconnaissance of the opposition and feed that information to the Jaeger’s battle computer. She noted a large number of foot soldiers on the ground, and 9 red devil-ninja on the roof of a nearby building, as well as an overwhelming psychic presence of a high cyber-naki-lady.
A cyber-naki shock trooper approached. Sturm interposed himself between the opponent and the hospital. Cyra cast a variety of defensive spells around the hospital, and Mena enhanced them to improve their capabilities. The barrier appeared between Sturm and the cyber-naki. The storm trooper crossed the threshold of the barrier and was destroyed. The bit of Eidolon in it migrated into the Jaeger.
The female high cyber-naki started casting high magic. Mena created a thin skylight beneath her, but her form could fly and was not impaired. Cyra started preparing a counter-spell. William fired a missile from the Jaeger. One of the devil-ninja flew up and intercepted it. The missile was destroyed with no effect to the cyber-ninja.
The female high cyber-naki magically collected the barrier, folded it up into a spear, and shoved it through Sturm. He was blasted through two walls of the hospital and out the other side and through the opposite side of the barrier.
Word was passed to Uther to return from the Door to the hospital.
One of the devil-cyber-naki started manipulating Eidolon. She interfered with it, enabling William to destroy it with a missile attack. Seven left.
Cyra cast Mind-Link on the devil-cyber-naki approaching the hospital and disabled it. She determined that the cyber-naki were looking to determine where the Door in the hospital went.
Sturm spat a tooth at an approaching storm trooper, hit it in a gap in its armor and destroyed it. The remaining forces fired at him, but his armor protected him.
Cyra interrogated the devil-cyber-naki further. The high-cyber-naki brought its personal forces hoping that the door went to the Grand Stairs. Having seen the power of the team, the high cyber-naki pulled back her normal troops and sent in her elites, while summoning reinforcements from elsewhere.
About half of the civilians had made it through the Door before the cyber-naki arrived.
Uther reprogrammed the steam cannon automata in the dragon room and had them return to the hospital with him. Jane had the dragon spray the storm troopers with its breath weapon.
Sturm emerged from the crater-like pit he created and fired into the oncoming hordes bravely. Several storm troopers fell to his onslaught.
Word spread from Cyra to the Jaeger to the team that the 8 billion cyber-naki were converging on the hospital.
All the Eidolon that was released from fallen foes fed into the anno-naki in the Jaeger. Mena created a funnel to release the Eidolon from a cyber-soldier, and was successful. The now freed cyber-soldier started to shooting at everyone.
William attacked the fetal devil cyber-naki with plasma bolts and destroyed it.
Sturm rose to rally the cyber-soldiers. The death god destroyed a cyber-naki behind him, and the freed soldiers accepted Sturm’s command.
Jane fired at one of the devil cyber-naki. Their Eidolon defenses protected them.
The high cyber-naki drifted down toward the entrance to the hospital and approached. One of Sturm’s soldiers turned and fired upon her. She let loose a spell that caused him to burst into flame, and then used the corpse to hit Sturm with.
Sturm fired his weapon at the high-cyber-naki. She dodged out of the way of the shot. Then William moved the Jaeger between the high-cyber-naki and the Sturm.
Uther emerged from the Door with his automatons.
Cyra alerted the team that the opponents were after the door and were ordered not to harm the Jaeger. Noting what Mena was trying to do, she created a magical construct to enhance her attempt to release the Eidolon from the cyber-soldiers.
Jane’s dragon joyfully continued to spray fire, stomp and otherwise slay the opposition without her having to control it. She shot at the cyber-soldiers.
Mena’s enhanced Eidolon vacuum sucked up a huge quantity of cyber-soldier Eidolon, which flowed to the Jaeger.
The high-cyber-naki walked up to the door in the Jaeger foot and entered it.
Sturm rallied the freed troops to fend off their former peers. Cyra’s barrier destroyed another devil-cyber-naki.
Sturm noted a fresh horde on the horizon, including a dual-blade wielding cyber-naki attempting to dig a hole under the barrier. Sturm attempted to engage the opponent, but nearly collapsed before a freed cyber-soldier, now designated as his aide, caught him and held him up so as to not be seen falling in front of his troops.
Jane sent the dragon to attack a devil-cyber-naki. It clamped down on the enemy and breathed on it at the same time, destroying it.
Uther ordered the automata to defend the hospital door, and then armored up, stepped through the door, linked the door to the flooded bar, linked to the door in the Jaeger foot and flooded it. The Jaeger suggested that William eject. William engaged the autopilot to move it away from the hospital. Then he closed all the bulkheads, and used the Eidolon to reinforce the bulkhead between him and the high-cyber-naki.
Then the heads up display noted the presence of an incoming kaiju…
The Eidolon from the devil-cyber-naki exited them and found its way to the Jaeger. The devil-cyber-naki joined Sturm’s resistance.
The first bulkhead in the Jaeger failed.
Sturm continued to rally his troops. Jane directed the dragon to only attack the cyber-soldiers not with Sturm. The dragon is more interested in eating the kaiju. She told it to wait until the kaiju arrived. Three more cyber-soldiers were destroyed.
The Jaeger proceeded north, through the factory where they had had their battle, toward the kaiju. William focused on the next bulkhead between him and the high-cyber-naki. His sensors indicated that the high-cyber-naki was moving away through the water concerned about damage to the Jaeger.
Uther closed off the door to the submerged club. He then put up a barrier to keep the water in, and prepared to exit, trapping the high-cyber-naki inside.
Mena and Cyra tried to redirect their vacuum on the high-cyber-naki, but determined that they could not unless she was somehow distracted.
Most of the non-combatants had made it through the Door to the other realm. The automata were defending the door. Sturm’s force of nearly 1000 were defending the rear of the hospital.
Soto-sama joined Sturm and healed him. Cyra reinforced her magical defenses in preparation for the kaiju’s arrival.
The dragon was insistent on attacking the kaiju. The kaiju was focused on the Jaeger. There was great speculation about what would happen when the kaiju (Umbra) and the Jaeger (Eidolon) meet. Mena focused on creating an environment where she could control the union in a positive way.
William noted that the water level in the Jaeger was receding that the the cooling pumps were working perfectly.
Sturm noted that his troops were falling to the Eidolon enhanced soldiers. He waded into the fray to set an example, and Soto-sama joined him. He noticed that her spider amulet occasionally became a swarm of spiders that consumed an opponent that got too close. Her fighting style was comparable to Sturm’s. A large number were making it past them, but being destroyed by Cyra’s barriers.
But the double-bladed cyber-naki had made it past the barrier and was attacking the rear guard.
Jane returned to the Door to see the last of the non-combatants go through, and the few remaining defenders slaughtered by the double-bladed cyber-naki.
Uther emerged from the Jaeger and saw the kaiju approaching. He made his way back to the hospital, but found himself in the midst of the enemy forces. He took cover as the dragon came by decimating the cyber-soldiers.
William monitored the high-cyber-naki’s activities. She appeared to be preparing to cast some Eidolon enhanced sorcery. She had cleared the water from the leg and there appeared to be physical damage to the leg. He concentrated on moving her and the Jaeger away from the hospital as the kaiju emerged from the water park tidal pool.
The kaiju smashed its tail into the heavy hydraulic pumps and propelled them into the Jaeger. William was more concerned by the Umbra that trailed behind it and damaged the chest plate of the Jaeger. It was mitigated by the Eidolon from the anno-naki.
Cyra and Mena saw that the remaining cyber-soldiers appeared to be magically protected from their Eidolon vacuum. Instead, Cyra sent a high-powered, intensified bolt at the double-bladed cyber-naki while Mena distracted it by turning his blades into Nerf-blades. The double-bladed cyber-naki exploded, taking the door guards with it. Jane reached the bridge door, shut it, and disconnected it.
Sturm noticed that the opposing forces had slowed, so he intensified the attacks of his forces. He slew 20 cyber-naki himself.
William engaged the Jaeger with the kaiju and attacked with the Eidolon enhanced chainsword. Then the bulkhead door was breached.
At the Treehouse Hotel
Cyra teleported Jane and Uther to the Treehouse Hotel, and are greeted by a monkey. Uther then went though to Morholt’s domain and sealed the door there to the Grand Stair.
At the Hospital
The opposing forces as one turned toward the treetop hotel. The hospital was then hit by ten cruise missiles. Mena was able to armor up with Eidolon and was protected. Sturm’s forces were protected on the outside of the barrier.
The dragon was also hit by several cruise missiles and knocked out of the sky. It rose again, annoyed.
Mena surmised that the cruise missiles were coming from the hive.
At the Water Park
Two cruise missiles hit the back of the kaiju, but they crumble before they can detonate. Their bits of Eidolon joined with the Jaeger.
The kaiju caught the chainsword in hits jaws, whipped the Jaeger around, and through it into the nuclear power plant.
The kaiju and the Jaeger charged toward each other. The dragon interposed. It was hit by an Umbra attack and withered slightly.
At the Treehouse Hotel
Cyra and Jane waited for Uther to seal the Door to the Grand Stair in Morholt’s domain. Cyra scryed to identify a door near to the Hive. The nearest door was that of the temple, which was not especially close.
Cyra and Jane went through the Door to join Uther. Jane severed the Door to the Treehouse Hotel and collapsed. Cyra destroyed the Door.
At the Hospital
The cyber-soldiers stopped fighting. Soto-sama suggested withdrawing back to the prison to regroup. Sturm agreed, and the loyal troops withdrew. Sturm remained with Mena to protect her while she enhanced it. The dragon acknowledged that it was not supposed to eat them.
At the Water Park
William attacked the kaiju with the Jaeger again with the chainsword and wounded it. The kaiju responded by sinking its teeth into the Jaeger’s shoulder and neck, and then half the Jaeger’s systems went down.
In Morholt’s Domain
The final door that did not go to the Grand Stair was destroyed. The door the the Grand Stair was sealed. The only way into or out of Morholt’s domain now was to teleport.
At the Hospital
Mena continued to monitor the battle. Waives of Eidolon and Umbra flew back and forth. The dragon was withered by the Umbra and only remained because of Mena’s assistance.
In the Jaeger
As the last bulkhead door burst open, William ejected, leaving the fate of the Jaeger to the high-cyber-naki, and barely evaded the kaiju’s tail.
At the Water Park
He floated toward the destroyed nuclear power plant. William created Eidolon shields against the radiation. Mena gave him control of the ejection seat and he landed near the hospital.
The jaeger disembowled the kaiju as the Jaeger’s leg gave way, and both fell on top of the nuclear power plant.
The high-cyber-naki emerged with her Eidolon defenses active and forces converging on her position.
William, Mena and Sturm retreated to the prison with Soto-sama and her forces while the dragon consumed the kaiju.
Outside Morholt’s Domain
Cyra, Uther and Jane teleported into the aircar. They pushed it beyond the non-technology range. They then communicated with the rest of the team to be appraised of the situation and learned that they were at Soto-sama’s base. They then flew to the castle, which was warded, noting the cyber-naki hordes moving in spiral patterns looking for the new door that they will never find.
