Back in Far Rough
Returning to town the next day, the party was hailed as heroes, even though the villain got away and all the Catchpoles were dead, for killing the murderer (the Grave Talon). The Grimlock finished their business in Far Rough and went on to negotiate elsewhere. The Nightwalker and Rosie were visited by three women and they have not been seen since. Neverhold was seen in town asking about the destination of the Grimlocks and a Crystal Fold.
The Venture Commissar appeared and informed them that the Nightwalker was visited by three hags. The Grave Talon had been hexed three times. It was believed that the Nightwalker was hired by the hags to get the Crystal Fold. The Questor Society tasked the party with stopping her.

Basil used the Delver’s Rod but could not determine anything about the Crystal Fold other than that Neverhold was attempting to get it to regain the favor of the Three Sisters.
While shopping, a woman in white with white eyes handed Ezzerkash an unsigned message requesting that the team staying in Far Rough until the day after tomorrow in exchange for an enclosed magical dried rose that cures wounds, and a runic weapon to be provided later. He shared the message with the others. Basil took the rose.
Ezzerkash was committed to pursuing Neverhold because someone didn’t want them to. The team decided to continue on their mission.
Then they went home to Plunging Stream Manor to rest for the night.
Pursuing Neverhold
The Grinlocks had left Far Rough to meet with the Littoral tribes at a bullet shaped mound fifty miles to the north. The team followed.
As they made to leave Far Rough, Ezzerkash collapsed into slumber, and then a band of orcs with large swords and javelins attacked.
Ezzerkash found himself on a mound near a wall with a 1000 names in an unknown language. Floating in the air was a blue-green crystal above the harpy-eagle. Nearby, the dead body of Neverhold. Standing on the wall are Rose and a red haired, jackal headed woman. They jumped for the crystal and then disappeared.
Brynjar drew his sword and awaited the attack. Cham hit one with an Arrow of Disorientation. Oobleck summoned a giant spider between them and the orcs nearest him. The orcs closed. One hit Basil hard.
Ezzerkash resisted touching the crystal and examined the body. Neverhold then looked at him and said “I only wanted to regain my place and they hung me for violating their wall. Why haven’t they hung you?” The rope then reached out and tried to grab hold of him, but missed. Neverhold clawed him, but could not pierce his hide.
Brynjar closed and attacked. He hit and dropped his opponent. Basil cast Cure Light Wounds with Safe Healing on himself. He then tried to awaken Ezzerkash. Cham shot the orc that his Basil, but missed. Oobleck’s giant spider appeared and attacked that orc as well, but missed. Oobleck shot a sling bolt and missed. Slimy closed, hit and grappled. Another orc threw a javelin and hit Cham. The orc freed itself from the grapple and attacked Brynjar, but missed. Another closed on Oobleck, but missed. Another hit the spider.
Ezzerkash shot his breath weapon at Neverhold. He hit. The rope reached out around his neck and pulled him closer to her. Ezzerkash was able to hold his breath.
