Back at Oleg’s
Having returned from their expedition, Pyotr the Hunter and his tiger Ilya, Reppa the druid and her wolf Wulfgar, Ambiorix the archaeologist, Stormbolt the taninim trueblood sorceror, and Froing the cleric traded the goods they collected for equipment and supplies. With the arrival of the caravan and the guards, Oleg had been resupplied with goods, so there was a variety of goods available.
Stormbolt commissioned a harness to carry gear on. While they were eating, they were approached Jhod Kavken, a cleric of Erastil, a god of the wilderness. He asked the party to locate a lost temple of Erastil in visions he had received. He believed that it was guarded by a bear, but there was something strange about it.
Mapping the Territory
The next day, they set out to map out the plains around Oleg’s Trading Post. After a days thorough exploration of the area, they returned to the trading post for the night.
In the morning was heavily snowing, so they stayed inside. Overnight the storm passed, and they continued into the northernmost section of the forest. The explored for a day and made camp for the night.
Midday of the following day, the party stumbled upon a pack of wolves. Reppa and Piotr approached to make contact with them. They determined that the pack leader was a dire wolf. Reppa tried to influence them, but failed.
The wolves seemed hostile, but Piotr did not act. Stormbolt advanced and roared. One of the wolves was shaken. Ilya awaited Piotr’s command. Reppa hit another wth her staff. Ambiorix shot the alpha with a crossbow bolt. Wulfgar was distracted. Froing shot and missed.
Piotr summoned Ilya. The pack attacked Piotr and Reppa. A wolf and the alpha attacked Stormbolt, but missed. Stormbolt used his electricity breath weapon and hit both. Reppa hit her opponent. Ambiorix cast an ultrasonic ray. Wulfgar charged toward the fight. Froing hit the alpha with his sword.
Piotr attacked but missed. The alpha attacked Froing and missed. The other wolf attacked Stormbolt and missed. Another wolf missed Wulfgar. One bit Reppa and knocked her down. One bit Piotr savagely and he went down. The other missed Ilya. Stormbolt bit and clawed a wolf with elemental aura and killed it. Reppa missed her wolf with her staff. Ambiorix fired another ultrasonic ray at the alpha. Wulfgar attacked Reppa’s wolf and killed it. Froing stepped back and cast Cause Fear on the alpha.
Piotr stopped bleeding. Another wolf bit Wulfgar. Two others attacked Ilya. One bit him. The alpha attacked Froing but missed. Stormbolt clawed the alpha. Ilya rended a wolf. Reppa crawled back and stood. Ambiorix shot a third ultrasonic ray and moved to aid Piotr. Wulfgar attacked and missed. Froing attacked the alpha but missed.
Piotr was still down. Wulfgar was bitten again and went down. Ilya was bitten. The alpha bit Froing hard and knocked him down. Stormbolt bit and clawed the alpha. Ilya missed. Reppa attacked the one that tripped her, but missed. Ambiorix cast cure light wounds on Piotr. Wulfgar bled. Froing crawled away.
Piotr crawled clear. The wolves missed Reppa and Ilya. The alpha bit Stormbolt and knocked him down. Stormbolt clawed and bit the alpha. Ilya shredded one of the wolves. Reppa attacked with her staff and hit a fresh wolf. Ambiorix cast ultrasonic ray at the alpha to no effect. Wulfgar stabilized. Froing advanced and missed the alpha.
Piotr cast cure light wounds on himself. The alpha howled. Froing killed the alpha as it turned to flee. The others ran off.
Froing channeled positive energy to heal the party.
