The party camped at the Frog spa, where Froing created water to wash off the lake muck and mud. Then they camped for the night without incident.
They elected to explore down the Skunk River, whose source was the spa. They traveled all day without encountering anything and mapped the area on the immediate western bank. The stopped for the night where the river turned southward.
On the first watch, Reppa and the wolves noticed something stirring under the water in the river. She awakened Froing. Froing noted that there were two humanoids swimming in the river, and they were big.
Reppa awakened Piotr and Ilya. Froing lit a torch to expand the illuminated area. The approaching humanoids climbed out of the water on the near shore and approached. They were trolls.
Reppa awakened Stormbolt and cast a flaming sphere on top of one of the trolls. Ambiorix woke up. Froing interposed between Ambiorix and the trolls. He noticed another one coming out of the water. Ambiorix drew his rapier and stabbed one. Stormbolt hit the new one with an energy missile. Piotr commanded Ilya to attack and they attacked the new one. One troll mauled Froing. The other mauled Ambiorix. The third incapacitated Ilya.
Reppa moved the flaming sphere back to the troll and ordered the wolves to attack. Froing channeled to revive the tiger. Froing retreated. The wolves attacked. Stormbolt attacked, but missed. Piotr hit his opponent. Ilya rended it as well. The troll hit Stormbolt. Another downed Jeju. The third mauled Ilya badly.
Reppa summoned a fire elemental. Froing channeled again. Ambiorix grabbed the torch and hit the third troll with an arcane strike. Max bit his foe. Stormbolt clawed his. The troll hit Stormbolt. The other missed Max. The third killed Ambiorix.
Reppa’s elemental appeared and attacked the troll on Max. Reppa closed on Max’s troll and was hit. She countered hit it back. Froing loaded his bow and then channeled. Jeju and Ilya were revived. Max bit the troll and tripped it. Stormbolt clawed his opponent. Piotr grabbed the torch and was hit by the troll. He hit the troll with fire. Ilya killed the third troll. The troll mauled Stormbolt. The tripped troll tried to stand. Jeju bit it. Reppa struck it. The troll attacked Reppa, but missed.
Reppa hit the troll. The fire elemental slammed and killed it. Froing shot at the last troll. The wolves shredded the troll corpse. Stormbolt breathed on the troll. Piotr attacked the troll and went down. The last troll bit Stormbolt.
Reppa grabbed the torch and attacked the troll with it. The fire elemental charged, but missed, and disappeared. Froing channeled and revived Stormbolt. Then he pulled another torch. The wolves attacked the last troll. Jeju hit and Max missed. Stormbolt missed. Piotr moved back and picked up his sword. Ilya awaited orders. The troll attempted to flee. Max bit and tripped it. Jeju bit it. Reppa hit with the torch. Stormbolt missed.
Reppa missed. Froing channeled and then confirmed Ambiorix’s death. Jeju bit it. Max bit it. Stormbolt bit and clawed the troll to kill it.
