Defeated the shambling mound. Met the summoner and his eidolon. Joined by the Tank. Headed back toward Olaf’s Trading Post. Camped for the night. On third watch, Stormbolt noticed movement in the direction the end of the forest. He told the Tank, who awakened the summoner. Stormbolt looked for Pervalash. The summoner saw something three humanoids hiding in the trees.
Stormbolt looked for the summoner’s targets. The Tank awakened the hunter. The summoner warned that the humanoids were firing missiles at them. The arrows missed. No one else could see the targets.
Stormbolt hit one with an energy missile. Reppa and the wolves awakened. The summoner summoned a fire elemental to illuminate the targets. They were humans in leather armor with longbows. Others were also revealed. Froing awakened everyone else. The archers fired a the party. One hit Reppa. Another hit Froing. One bounced off the Tank’s armor. Another hit Piotr. The elemental burned one. An archer hit Stormbolt. Froing looked for more opponents.
Stormbolt hit one with an Energy Missile. The Tank put out the campfire and advanced toward the enemy. Reppa cast Entangle and then hid behind a log with the wolves. All the opponents except two were caught in the spell. Ilya avoided animated foliage emerging from the river. The summoner cast Mage Armor. The archers attempted to get free from the Entanglement. Several succeeded, but could not find targets. Froing advanced.
Stormbolt advanced to the edge of the entanglement. The Tank drew his bow. Reppa and the wolves remained in cover. Several of the archers were reentangled. The fire elemental attacked and an archer caught fire. The summoner shot an archers. The opponents fired back. The summoner was hit. Froing cast a Light spell on a crossbow bolt and took cover.
Stormbolt took cover until the spell was dropped. The hunter shot at an archer. Reppa dropped the Entanglement. Stormbolt advanced to fire his breath weapon but was short, so he fired the Wand of Magic Missile instead. The Tank shot and hit another. The archers were no longer entangled and shot at Stormbolt. Froing shot toward the archers to illuminate them but it landed in the river.
