Episode Three: U-Boat
29 May 1940
0500 – Chance decided to inspect the shed next to the house to leave his teleportation device and Agatha Marcham in. Clara was morally opposed to this plan, but Chance and Killer explained the stakes to her.
Chance went to investigate the shed. Killer noted two soldiers approaching the front of the house. Gus took a position at the front window. Ferret kept watch at the rear window.
Chance slowly sneaked toward the shed along the outside of the house. The Germans approach the front of the house. Killer shot one in the face with his silenced pistol. Gus fired at the other with his silenced pistol, but missed. Ferret joined Killer and shot the other in his right leg with his silenced pistol. Two more Germans appeared at the rear of the house and spotted Chance.
Chance tried to dive through a window but failed. The remaining German in the front shot at Gus but missed. Gus shot back with his rifle and missed with a loud bang. Killer shot him in the abdomen with his silenced pistol. Ferret moved back to the rear and shot at the approaching soldiers with his silenced pistol, but missed. They shot back with loud reports, but his concealment protected him. Clara shot with her silenced pistol and hit one in the left leg.
Chance dove into the house again. Gus shot the soldier again and killed him. Killed stepped out of the window Chance came through and shot the other German and blew his left arm off. Ferret advanced and ordered the German to surrender, but blundered his German. The soldier shot back and missed. Clara shot the remaining German a glancing blow to the head.
Chance took aim on the final opponent. Gus moved to the rear of the house. Killer killed the German. They piled into the truck and put on the German uniforms.
0900 – They drove up to the westernmost bridge. The guards approached and asked for their papers. Chance showed the guard the copy of the SS Sondergruppe KFW2 they captured at the command post. The sentries quickly click their heels and salute, and the team made their way to the harbor.
As they approach the port area, they were stopped by another patrol. Chance hands over the papers. This sentry is more insistent. Chance tells him that he is on top secret mission. He intimidates the sentry and they are allowed to pass.
The drive up to the docks and are ignored by the sentries. A bunch of sailors were milling about around the submarine. Killer noted a German naval officer in the Harbor Master’s office. Chance hides his teleportation target box hidden in the back of the truck with Agent WOTAN.
Chance and Clara entered the Harbor Master’s office. The sergeant there demanded to know their business. Chance told them that we was informed them of his boarding the submarine as a courtesy. The captain told them no one board without express orders. Chance showed him the SS orders. The captain told him to speak with the man in the next room.
They entered the conference room, and the SS officer inside recognized the orders as a copy of theirs. Chance tried to bluff him with orders to prepare the submarine for the preliminary rituals, but the officer saw right through him.
