Pitched Battle
The Flaming Sphere to attack the second troll and then it disappeared. The wolves moved to attack it as well. Jeju bit it. Max bit hard. Reppa tried to pick up a buring stick from the fire. Oostend attacked the third troll. Piotr attacked the second troll. Stormbolt moved out of danger. Ilya ravaged the second troll. Froing healed Ilya. The second troll attacked Ilya and dropped him. The third troll overcame Oostend, who transformed back to Aeldred.
The wolves attacked the second troll. Reppa picked up a fire brand and moved toward the second troll. Aeldred bled. Piotr killed the second troll. Stormbolt hit the second troll with a fire bolt. Ilya missed. Froing moved and channeled energy. The last troll clawed Stormbolt and he went down.
Reppa cast Burning Gaze to no effect. The wolves charged the last troll. Jeju was clawed but still attacked and bit hard. Piotr attacked the troll but missed. Stormbolt stopped bleeding. Froing channeled the party. Troll tore Piotr apart.
The wolves maneuvered to flank. Reppa advanced and was clawed. She sliced it with her scythe. Aeldred summoned a fire elemental. Stormbolt failed to bite. Ilya dragged Piotr away and licked his wounds. Froing advanced toward Stormbolt. The troll wounded Reppa.
Reppa and the wolves all hit. The Fire Elemental hit. Aeldred cast Elemental Sample to drop fire on the troll to no effect. Stormbolt bit the troll. Froing channeled. The troll attacked Reppa again and killed her.
The wolves continued to fight but missed. The Fire Elemental missed. Aeldred cast Elemental Sample again. Stormbolt savaged the troll. Froing attempted to stabilize Reppa. The troll attacked Max.
The wolves attacked the troll. Jeju bit the troll and tripped it. The Fire Elemental missed. Aeldred cast Elemental Sample again to no effect. Stormbolt bit and clawed the troll. Froing cast Shield of Faith on Stormbolt. The troll stood up. Stormbolt bit it. The Fire Elemental hit. The wolves missed. The troll clawed Froing.
Max bit the troll. Jeju also bit. The Flame Elemental hit. Stormbolt clawed and bit and killed the troll. Froing hit as well. The wolves and the tiger ran off.
Licking Their Wounds
The next morning, Aeldred, Froing and Stormbolt loaded Reppa’s body onto her horse. Ilya would not surrender Piotr’s body. Then they made their way toward Oleg’s by the most direct route.
As the sunset, they noted smoke from over the next hill. Stormbolt attempted to sneak up to observe, but failed. Two humans, one male and one female, sat at the campfire. The man recognized Stormbolt. Then Froing and Aeldred joined them. They shared the camp for the night and Stormbolt caught some rabbits.
Back at Olegs
The next day they continued toward Oleg’s. It was cold and rainy. They left the hills and acrossed the plains. They arrived at the trading post at sunset.
The leather worked that Stormbolt had requested came, but left after a week. They were advised to see the Captain with a message from the capitol.
Froing advised the cleric that the Temple of Erastil was cleared. He asked to be taken to it.
Stormbolt and Aeldred went to the Captain. The message instructed them to deal with the Stag Lord.
